The whole world over people celebrated the arrival of a new year. It would seem to me that all of humanity is yearning for a better future and a better life. All the while making resolutions which acknowledge shortcomings and failures.
For one night a year the masses, in a unified voice, hope for a better world. Hope for redemption.
Year after year the hope remains.
